The Vibrance of Barcelona, in pictures – II

There was more enchantment in store for us. Join me as I continue my rediscovery of vibrant Barcelona with more photographs from our trip (see The Vibrance of Barcelona, in pictures – I for the first post in this series).

The majestic Sagrad Cor church on Mount Tibidabo. A ride on the metro train, followed by a ride on the funicular, a journey by bus and then, a lovely walk brought us to this destination.

This imposing structure, the Torre de Collserola, is a TV tower. An elevator transported us to the observation deck for more spellbinding views of Barca.

Construction activity at the landmark Sagrada Familia church. This one has been 'under construction' since 1886!

This star attraction was designed by Gaudi, who was the project director from 1886 to 1926.

The Passion Façade was one of the original structures. Fantastic architecture and art on display here.

Pretty picture!! Sunlight streaming through the stained glass.

Nativity Façade, the Sagrada Familia

Beautiful vistas from Parc Guell. The Sagrad Cor church and the Torre de Collserola in the distance.

View of one of Gaudi's creations from another. The Sagrada Familia church, seen from Parc Guell.

This museum, inside Parc Guell, houses several works of Gaudi.

Mosaic art even on the ceiling.

It was wonderful strolling in the green environs of Parc Guell, taking in beautiful views of the city, admiring Gaudi's mosaic art, spotting cute buildings such as this one. We even watched a charming couple performing the tango! 🙂

A Bus Turistic whizzes past, helping tourists to get good glimpses of the vibrant city of Barcelona.

It has been a few years since our visit to Barca, but memories of the colorful city keep returning every now and then. Sharing these pictures has been a wonderful trip down memory lane and I do hope to revisit the city one day.
